In the executive suite this morning as Kadizzle sat on the throne he contemplated the ipad a neighbor gave him about five years ago. The ipad is at least 15 years old. It still works and provides some entertainment for a king on a throne.
The big thought that blasted through Kadizzle's head was, what would this thing be worth two or three hundred years ago. Kings would have paid everything for that ipad that can do so many things impossible way back when. What would a GPS be worth to Columbus? What would a device that could take a color picture be worth to artist in Italy four hundred years ago. What would a database or a spreadsheet be worth to the Roman Army. Internet access alone with access to all the information in the world.
Now the strange part. We have amazing technology, but people are still hungry, stupid, cold, and at war. How can that be. One good answer might be religion. Religion has enabled humans to ignore reality, fight over nothing, and pin their hopes on magic. How's that working for you?
