A strange phenomenon was reported on CNN yesterday. The center of the Earth is going to spin the other way. No this is not a made up bit on nonsense, like Trump will show his taxes. This apparently happens about every 70 years.
Now for the BS. What does this mean if the center of the Earth spins the other way? Does this mean people will defund the military nonsense? Does it mean women will be treated as equals? Does it mean science will make a comeback? Does it mean Fox News will tell the truth?
We can be thankful only the center of the Earth will reverse direction. Having the sun come up in the West would be very confusing. It could mess up the calendar. If the center of the Earth spins the other way does that mean the center of the Republican Party could spin the other way? It is hard to get a large mass to spin the other way. Republicans are a large mass of greedy, ill informed people. What if they did spin the other way and actually cared about the poor, promoted education, and health care? What if Republicans felt for the poor, the immigrants, the young pregnant girls? When the birds fly North in the winter you will know things have changed. When the Tea Party welcomes everyone you will know the spin has changed. Until then we can only hope, but for now only the center of the Earth will spin differently.
