On a wonderful ebike ride yesterday we stopped to rest. At the rest stop on the desert trail were about twelve other old ebike warriors. It was nice to see older people out enjoying the world on bikes. Electric bikes are coming on strong. Electric locomotion is coming like it or not. At the root of electric transportation is the simplicity of electric motors and the improvement in batteries. Any small incremental improvement in batteries will make a huge difference in the revolution. The Kadizzles traveled about 20 miles over rugged desert trails on only half a battery.
If American cities were designed to accommodate ebikes it would be wonderful. If you try one chances are you will buy one. The bikes are great transportation for bums, and you can see the bums are early adapters.
The transition to electricity as a power source for mobile equipment will change the world. Amazing machines for doing various work are popping up. The great thing is the lack of noise.
