Robbing the Hoopleheads

The lazy man's road to riches usually involves bilking the Hoopleheads. Trump know the art well. However, one of the oldest techniques still thrives today and that is the lottery, or just plain gambling. If you want to put out some bait to catch a Hoople just get a slot machine or a lottery ticket. Nothing works better to empty the pockets of the poor than selling them false hope. Always tell them they will win, when they are sure to lose.

Kadizzle stopped by the library and bought his usual bundle of used magazines. In the New Yorker (Another forbidden magazine for the Hooples) Kadizzle came across an interesting article on the history of the lottery and how destructive it is to the the poor.

You have seen them at the grocery store or the gas station, bums, the downtrodden, and the other delusional getting in line to have their pockets cleaned. The biggest lottery has always been the churches. Pay so much a month and get a chance for eternal life.

Now do a simple calculation like Kadizzle did. Back when Kadizzle lived in Hazen he calculated how much money went into gambling in the little town of about 2,800 people.  It was easily $3,000 a week. What could Hazen have done to improve life for everyone for that 3k? Well the real irony was the money taken from the fools actually made life worse. The same dingers that opposed every tax on Earth supported the tax on stupidity. If you are going to tax stupidity there is no better way than gambling.

Maybe you are the kind of person with a functioning brain and have not visited a casino.  Do it just to see old goats pouring social security checks down the drain. Visit a bingo hall, again you will see a storm of stupidity like never before. Bingo you're broke, bingo you cannot make the car payment, bingo you cannot pay the utilities.

There are better ways. Right here in Payson they just found an older couple who put granny in the freezer. When granny passes away don't tell anyone. Just put her in the freezer and keep collecting the SS check.  Then take Grannie's money and buy lottery tickets.
