Some major problems with the Ten Key Principles of the Payson Tea Party

Lets examine the Tea Party Principles vs reality

Principle 1. America is guided by morality, having an origin in God. Human rights are not granted by the government but by our creator.

America is guided by morality? These are the people who support Donald Trump, one of the most immoral people ever to breath air. Add to that supporting all the election deniers. On a local level these are the people who have spread false rumors, made false police reports, and promote every lie and conspiracy theory promoted by Fox News, the Republican Party, and right wing candidates. This is the party that supports court cases with no evidence.

Innumerous people are moral people and do not claim any help from god to be moral. If God hands out morality he failed the Republicans and the Tea Party miserably. No moral person would deny hungry school children lunch, nor would a moral person spread false claims and rumors.

Principle 2. The U.S. Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Government has a duty not to usurp rights given to the states and the people.

Recently Donald Trump suggested the Constitution be changed to elect him president. How does that work? The Constitution promotes free speech. The Payson Tea Party wants to exclude anyone who disagrees with their policy, even if it is in a forum outside their meetings. The Constitution requires elected officials to defend the United States against insurrection. Donald Trump instigated an insurrection.

Principle 3. The Second Amendment guarantees the right to self defense and is the key to all the other rights. ( Fair elections and honest politicians are the key to all of our rights ). Free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, and free press are secured and kept secure by an armed citizenry.

As our children and loved ones are gunned down every day at school and in the public the twisted interpretation of the second amendment is used to arm every insane person wanting a gun. Guns are not the answer to problem. Donald Trump showed us all how the second amendment can be abused when he sent armed people to the Capitol. The second amendment was designed for slave owners to put down rebllions, not attack the Capitol. The Hoopleheads are not real big on history, nor can they explain how other countries control fire arms succesfully to protect people.

Free speech? The Tea Party makes a mockery of free speech. Kadizzle is banned from the Tea Party for the free speech he exercise's right here. Tea Party members made false police reports when Kadizzle and his friend held up Jail Trump signs. It was armed citizens that came out from Republican headquarters and tried to intimidate when we protested. The armed men were not protecting free speech, they were preventing it. Freedom of assembly, another Tea Party joke. Sure you can come to their meeting if you agree with them, otherwise stay out.

The Tea Party forgets the government also protects us from religion. We are ruled by rational people not some fantasy group. Religion has been used to bilk the public for private schools, and subjugate women. It is the job of government to protect us from religion.

Principle 4. States rights must be protected. Many Federal Government programs must be returned to local and state control.

States rights are another abuse of the Constitution. States are now taking away women's rights to control their bodies. It was southern states that kept black people from voting, and attending public schools. The Federal Government has had to protect the rights of women, minorities, the disable, and on the list goes. It is the states that the Republicans are using to deny voting, and claim their candidates won in elections they lost. States rights have been massively abused by the Republicans.

Principle 5. Free enterprise and capitalism create jobs... the government does not.

This is a lallapaloosa. Only the most poorly educated would buy into to this. Basically demand creates jobs. When people demand bread, bakers have jobs. When people demand highways, construction workers have jobs. There are so many falicies that all good comes from rich people giving poor people jobs. Cooperatives employ people. Cooperatives like the credit union, cooperative phone companies and electric companies are socialist organizations. Trickle down economics has been a massive failure. If the curent economic system worked 400 families would not own half the wealth in the United States. Unions were formed to protect workers from the abuses of capitalism. Republicans hate unions. If government does not create jobs then how can the Hoopleheads claim the government destroys jobs? The government decides to fund highways, the military, the water plant, the fire department. The idea that the government does not create jobs is such a simple minded falacy. Eliminate the Forest Service right here and see how quickly jobs go away. The government initiated the space program. Even the dumbest Hooplehead can see how much science, and how many jobs came from NASA.  Can the Hooples really be this naive? Well it sounds good at the meetings.

Principle 6. The government has a responsibility to provide for border security and national defense. Illegal immigration has proven costly to education, health care, and public services and must be stopped now.

Scaring the Hoopleheads works, plain and simple. Are there any benefits to illegal immigrants.  Wake up Hoopleheads and watch people get paid in cash. These people came across the border, and clean your yard, haul your garbage, and do all the dirty work cheap. American companies are screaming for workers. Where do we get them? Who picks the vegetables, roofs the houses, and does the drywall? Check and you will find many of these people are second generation illegals. They lying about illegals is a winner for Republicans. Take the crime rate. The actual crime rate for illegals is lower than that for American citizens. Nothing works for the Hoopleheads like sensationalizing an illegal immagrant story. Why not take the time an do some real research into the cost, vs the benifits to illegals. What if they did not come? The price of everything would skyrocket. Immigration is just a cheap political trick to scare the poorly informed. Keep in mind Hooples, each of us is an illegal immgrant. The native Americans never gave us citizenship.

7. Government normally does not solve problems. People do. Big government usually is the problem; therefore the government that governs best is the government that governs least.

If you want to get a dinger fired up this one is great. There are so many ways to punch holes in this nonsense who knows where to start. One might ask the dinger if they are ready to give up their social security. Ask a dinger if polio or World War II would have ended if not for the evil government. The government provides endless benefits from highways, to new drugs, to schools, and on it goes. The Hoopleheads are like little kids they don't like to have to follow any rules. The real paradox with the Hoopleheads is the flag waving and all the praise they heap on the government. They think the United States is the best at everything, yet they hate the government that brings us all we have. Trump tried to destroy the government. The goverment has protected us from thieves and liars like Trump, Wendy Rodgers, Kari Lake.

Principle 8. The welfare state must be dissolved and replaced by private charitable organizations.

What is the welfare state? Welfare implies you get something for nothing. The Hoopleheads cannot comprehend the biggest welfare cheats are the rich. For generations they just pass down wealth and do nothing. Trump paid less tax than any Hooplehead at the Tea Party. When daddy leaves you a billion, that is welfare, admit it. The poorest 20% of the population only consumes 2% of the GDP. The so called welfare cheats run like an economy car. They are gas sippers. On the other hand the top ten percent use up 40%.  Who is the cheat?

What do private charities do? First, there is a lot of fraud and cheating. Look at the crooked preachers. Then look at who the private charities are. They have an agenda. Usually it is a religious agenda. Are the private charities going to feed gay people? What about the books. Will the private charities open the book so we can see where the money goes?

Principle 9. Public education is broken. Reforms must come from local and state government.

Yes public education is broken. Why? Republicans are funneling the public school money to religious schools, and propaganda schools. Arizona has some of the worst education in the country. Republicans have harassed teachers with the silly nonsense about "groomers", " Critical race theory, and a host of other paranoid nonsense. No person in the right mind would want to be a teacher subjected to the insanity of the Tea Party crowd. Look at charter schools in Arizona. The fraud is rampant. The religious schools are the same. Both of the fraudulent school systems bilked the government out of covid money. Add to all this those schools can teach silly stuff like creationism, and all the insane ideas the right wing can dream up. In the fake schools the kids don't get an education they get indoctrination.

Principle 10. "Government money " does not belong to the government. It belongs to the taxpayers who worked for it. Taxes can and must be lowered and federal agencies eliminated.

Hoopleheads love to portray the government as some vast conspiracy. The Hooples forget the government is people we elect and pay. The people in government are honorable decent people. They have no vested interest in destroying out country. However, portraying the government as a vast conspiracy works well for the right wing paranoid game. Taxes have been lowered as the Hooples wish, but only on the rich. That is the problem. Elaborate games can be played about who pays what, but the truth is when someone like Donald Trump shows that he paid nothing in taxes for several years and in other years paid less than five percent, you know what the problem is.

Ok, lets summarize. We have an organization of hypocrites that will not openly discuss any of the issues outlined above. The Tea Party in Payson violates every principle they stand for. The selfishness, and hate they promote goes against everything in the Bible. If the Tea Party stood on sound ground their ideas would withstand criticism, but they know they cannot stand up to logic, so no one is allowed to attend their meetings and express differing views freely. If you really believe, what you believe, you should be able to intellectually defend what you say.
