Getting it all wrong

Kadizzle was just in the executive suite sitting on the executive chair thinking about how the mind can insist on fooling itself. Back in the engine room Kadizzle will recall a distinct memory. Way back in the era of the early 1970's Kadizzle was in charge of training for Consolidation Coal Company in Eastern Ohio. One day someone offer to take Kadizzle on a tour of the Silver Spade. The Silver Spade was the largest mechanical shovel on tracks ever built. Often the shovel was featured with a picture of two greyhound buses backed into the bucket of the shovel. The Spade was a huge machine. It is hard to convey how big the shovel was.

To get to the operators cab which was about five stories above the ground you first went up a set up steps that were lowered to the ground. After you reached the top of the steps you boarded an elevator. The elevator was small and round because it went up the center pin of the shovel. The entire monstrous machine rotated around the center pin, which contained the elevator.

Now we get to the point where the mind insist on believing a falsehood. When the door on the elevator opened the view was of a room bigger than a basket ball court. Since the machine was operating when we stepped off the elevator an incredible optical illusion occurred. Kadizzle had the distinct sensation the elevator was rotating. It just seemed it had to be this way. The mind instantly concluded a room the size of the interior of that machine could not rotate. So the mind did what it had to do, it told Kadizzle the elevator was rotating. Of course the conclusion was wrong.

The mind takes what it sees and instantly tries to make sense out of it. This is where the Hoopleheads get off the track. Once you make one erroneous conclusion the rest come easy, and you can believe anything Trump says.  A magic phrase like fake news makes it easy.

Once you get to the operators cab and look out the window you realize indeed the entire monstrous machine is rotating. When do the Tea Party people look out the window? Recently there was a window for the Hooples to look out. Kari Lake went to court and the Judge told the public she was clearly a lying scoundrel. The doctor can tell you that you have cancer. You can chose not to believe it, but it will be hard to deny. The Republican Party has a cancer of liars, Trump being the foremost. At what point do the Hooples realize they need chemo therapy?

Somehow Kadizzle has to get in another delusional story. This story is a repeat, but it illustrates so well how hard the Hooples will work to support their fantasy. W.C. Fields is in his row boat and it is sinking. W. C. Fields refuses to accept the fact that the boat is sinking, instead he declares " The river is rising".  The Hoopleheads just cannot come to grips with the fact that they are being abused by the rich, not the poor. How do you lead the Hooples to the window to let them look out?

History is the answer. The simple minded don't care for history. They would prefer it not be taught unless it is the history of Jesus. There was a time called the great depression. It was a time when the wealthy threw millions into poverty with their greed. Currently we are headed down the same track. The Hooples are oblivious.
