Sixteen Tons - Southern Raised (low bass singer cover)

Kadizzle came across this song, and it brought back memories of his life as a coal miner. Thinking about loading coal, Kadizzle thought about operating a shuttle car. As a shuttle car operator Kadizzle could load about 20 tons in under two minutes. The shuttle car hauled the coal from the miner (the machine that cut the coal lose and dumped it on the floor) to the conveyor belt. A loading machine was behind the miner and that machine could load the shuttle car in under two minutes. Things have changed. In modern mining they use longwall miners.  These machines are much more efficient than what Kadizzle was involved with.
