Instead of sitting outside freezing, the dingers could have been inside teaching some poor little kid to read. They could have been reading inside themselves. Now imagine a God that would rather have them sit there and freeze than be inside helping a young child. The two people could have done so many kind useful things, but God wants them to waste their time selling their version of the afterlife. If you need a God chose one that has some sense.
