Eating Out

There is no real industry or economic base in Payson, Arizona. Just about everything revolves around tourism, and people with retirement homes. The selection of places to eat is incredible. Two small towns, Pine, and Strawberry are nearby. The towns live by catering to the people visiting. 

Last night after a movie the Kadizzles went with friends to a restaurant in Pine. The food was Italian, and good. Kadizzle has come to know Mary one of the participants. Mary is an electrical engineer and played a role in the development of the GPS system. At dinner Kadizzle was able to acquire some new knowledge about how the system works. Strangely Kadizzle had been teaching the working of a GPS to Israel the son of one of the contractors. Israel had been suspended from school for having a sip of vodka prior to class. His single dad father punished Israel by making him help with the paver projects going on. 

How so many food vendors stay in business is amazing. People must eat out a lot. A simple hamburger is now ten dollars. Have a real nice meal and you are talking $75. If the economy and inflation go the wrong way it would seem the restaurant business will suffer. 

Kadizzle ordered his fourth ebike yesterday. Lets count. Ebike number one was wonderful and went 5, 000 miles. Ebike number two was the absolute best from Italy, but the motor conked out at less than 300 miles. Ebike three was a very nice bike, but terribly underpowered. So ebike three has to go back when ebike four arrives. Hopefully ebike four will have the power and glory Kadizzle needs. 

Crime in the country seems to be on an upward trend everywhere. Income disparity does not help. Strange that with modern technology the thieves are doing so well. There are so many new things that can foil thieves, cameras, alarms, and other tracking devices.  Just about every home around here has a security system with cameras. Sadly it is the poor the thieves pick on the most. After we suffered the theft of our ebikes Kadizzle has a new awareness of the sneak thieves and more respect for them or that should be disrespect. 

Mrs. Kadizzle is sitting over there reading the NYT. She commented on the attack on Polosi's husband. Republicans are stirring up violence. No one could surpass Trump and the mess he caused at the Capitol. Disgusting are the Republicans in Arizona carrying guns, and intimidating people at the ballot box with their guns and military garb. I have more respect for a cancer on Trump's bunghole than a Republican.
