A dress rehearsal for Kadizzle's funeral

Had to call an old friend Stroupini to discuss a sailor Kadizzle just encountered. Used to sail with Stroupini on his Pearson 26. Kadizzle mentioned the fact he worked cleaning a cemetery yesterday. Somehow Kadizzle got on the subject of " being drawn up".  Kadizzle always refers to dying as being drawn up. Drawn up to heaven that is. Some people like the term passing, but for sailors drawn up seems more appropriate.

Stroupini always has unique ideas, and see the world in his own way, which is wonderful. Stroupini said maybe at Kadizzle's funeral they could sing a song about Kadizzle being " Drawn up". It sounded like a great idea and Kadizzle did not want to miss the song. That is where Stroupini's genius struck. Why not have a dress rehearsal for Kadizzle's funeral. A great ideal, then Kadizzle could enjoy the fun. Stoupini among his other talents is a great singer, not to mention squeeze box player. In fact if you research Kadizzle Youtube videos you can see Stroupini play the squeeze box in Berthold Bay.

Kadizzle wondered how the dress rehersal would go because no one would want to say anything good about Kadizzle while he was still alive at the dress rehearsal. Again Stroupini showed his acumen, he suggested it be like a roast. Excellent, people could make one final jab at old Kadizzle.

Everyone should have a dress rehearsal for their funeral. It may be an oncoming tradition.  Kadizzle has Stroupini primed to sing " The Parting Glass" at the real funeral if there is one. Now please watch the video below so you know the words to the " Parting Glass". This is the most important part, the bag pipers. If you will kindly watch the video you will get to see the pipers march into the hall. Kadizzle has left instructions in his will to have the pipers. It will be the best time you ever saw someone get " Drawn Up".

Stoupini pointed out that anchors are drawn up. Since Kadizzle has been both an anchor to Mrs. Kadizzle, and a sailor it is perfect.
