The warnings failed

Back at the Earth Module the talk around the area is about the three children drowned when the family attempted to cross the creek up by Tonto Basin.  The deaths resulted when the family tried to take a large military style truck across the creek.  The truck got stuck in the high water and the rest is history.  Too many people get lured into the illusion you can do anything with a big he man truck.  It doesn't always turn out well.  Mother nature has too many ways to defeat us.

Years ago Kadizzle was working underground as a coal miner.  He remembers someone saying " You can't fool mother nature".   The coal miner was referring to people walking out from under supported areas.  In a coal mine you don't go under roof that has not been bolted.  You never know when mother nature will allow gravity to bring down the top and put an end to your life.  Too many times we thing we fooled mother nature, and too many times we find out we did not.

It feels so good to wake up back in the desert.  The silence is golden.  The insanity of large urban areas is something Kadizzle just does not need.

Yesterday our trail crew wandered down to the Earth Module and we all sat around and caught up on stories.  It was good to see the crew together.   So back to the routine.  Winky will stay here and do the usual, Kadizzle will pack and get ready to sit on planes for sixteen hours.

Last night Kadizzle realized he will be crossing the international date line.  So he will fly into the next day.  At some point Kadizzle will have to fly back to yesterday.   Seems strange that you can cross a line and be in a different day.  However, we have always been able to go an hour ahead or backwards. Why not go a whole day either way.   The people in the space shuttle could go back a week in a short time if they went the right direction.
