House Pride

About fifty years ago old Kadizzle met a girl from New Zealand.  He asked her about her opinion of the United States.  She remarked a lot of people did not have much house pride.  Here in her homeland Kadizzle can now see what she means.  You just don't see the slumming, the litter, and the mess you find everywhere in the U.S.  Gardening is like a lifeblood here and these people all have wonderful landscaping.  The couple that runs the airbnb Kadizzle will stay in tonight have been planting all day in the yard which looks like years of work have gone into it.  We could learn a lot from these people.  They respect people, and the environment.  Kadizzle was charged twenty cents for a paper bag at the grocery store.  Here everyone brings their own sack.  We are light years behind civilized countries.

Just finished my afternoon walk to the oldest house in New Zealand.  Learned a lot of history.  The natives here did not let themselves get over run as badly as our Indians did.  These natives knew what England was up to.  The big mistake of the early settlers here was greed. They sold so many guns to the natives that the Maori were well armed when the time came to dust up the English.
