A poem dedicated to Michael Heather, and Gary Morris

A liar spins their web of deceit

Crafting tales, oh so neat

They weave a story, so convincing

But it is built on lies unrelenting

Their words are like a poison dart

Piercing trust right through the heart

They twist the truth, with every breath

Leaving honesty, to suffer death

A liar's eyes may sparkle bright

But their words are shadows in the light

They speak with ease, but oh so hollow

Their lies, a trap, so hard to follow

They claim to care, but only lie

Their words a mask, they can't deny

The truth to them, is just a game

But for the trusting, it's all in vain

Oh, liar, your lies will catch up one day

And the truth it will have it's way

Your web will crumble, your mask will fall

And the world will see, the liar's call

So speak the truth, or hold your tongue

For lies, will never be undone

And in the end, it's honesty that reigns

Leaving liars, to suffer their own pains.
