Well here we sit sipping coffee in Heaven Bay. The little fleet made to Heaven Bay and was tucked in before it got too windy. However, as we sat enjoying a beverage the wind came up and some of the weak anchors let loose. After the boats were tamed the relaxation continued. We took the traditional climb above the cove and enjoyed the view.
There is no certainty where the fleet will head today. That is the beauty of a fleet of retired people, it makes no difference. Kadizzle almost always sits in this wonderful spot and wonders how such nice places can be so overlooked. Most people have no clue about the treasures Lake Sakakawea holds. My fellow sailors say "Keep it that way". Isolation is always the best means for preserving things. The best Indian sites in the Southwest are the ones no one can get too. The best parts of this lake are not easy to get too. North Dakota tries to promote tourism. It is a joke to see the state promote fiberglass fish statures, a pile of car rims in the shape of a turtle, and sculptured junk along the highway, when the state has some real treasures. Being a state of misers, the problem is the state will not spend a cent to open up the really nice places it has, so people drive through North Dakota and curse the flat nothing because we keep the good stuff hidden.
