Lady Long Rider

The coffee is making that gurgling sound which means it is about done.  Rain on the roof last night.  A dreary day, but we will head to Holbroke to see Lady Long Rider.  That is the woman that has gone horseback across Canada and the United States.  She has traveled 30,000 miles on her horses.  Last year Jasper Littlebottom rode with her.  Lady Long Rider wrote a book and is promoting it.  After the book signing the Kadizzles will head to Winslow to enjoy the La Pasada hotel and train station.

The chainsaw crew came back from the mountain and got about twenty five trees cut and removed from the trail.  Cliff and Kadizzle worked around the campground.  The highlight of the day was going to Ma's for lunch.  Ma's has good food, and good prices.  Wow, the hamburger was huge, and delicious. Like the waitress said if you go away hungry it  is your fault.  Whatever they serve you there is plenty of it.  The place is decorated in late 50's Arizona slum style, but the food is great.  The town of Roosevelt looks like it was designed by some famous southwest ghetto designer.  Each house has a chain link fence, crap scattered all over the yard, a nice rusting RV, or some pile of bricks scattered about.  Just being warm means so much to people they don't give a damn about anything else.  As long as you got your gun, a case of beer, and the pickup has gas,  god is in heaven, and Trump is president.
