Another Day

After another night of extremely strange dreaming  Kadizzle awoke to the trail crew routine. Mrs. Kadizzle was going to head up into the mountains to work with a chain saw crew clearing a trail we have been working on. Cliff and Kadizzle went back to the Grapvine campground to work on the very first trail Kadizzle did about five years ago.  After lunch we started to work on the local trails.

Kadizzle got bored and took off on the electric bike.  It was a good chance to explore some of the canal system that was built in conjunction with the Roosevelt Dam. The hand work that went into the system was astonishing. 23 miles of canal were needed to move water to the hydro plant for the dam. Then entire project was a big undertaking. It required countless tunnels.  So off on the bike he goes. At the first tunnel encountered Kadizzle headed up the hill.  On top of the plateau Kadizzle was amazed to what he had stumbled upon.  There were very large expanses of extremely level ground. The ground was unlike any around.  The ground was flat, free of brush, and had a short grass growing on it. Very much it seemed like an area ancient Indians had raised crops on. The flatness and lack of rocks was astonishing for the area it was in.  After some exploring the trip finally took Kadizzle back to the highway.  However there was one last obstacle. Kadizzle had to get the electric bike under a fence. This turned out to be more difficult than first thought, but we managed.

So now the day is ending and two new Netflix CDs showed up so we will have entertainment tonight.
