At ten today the group of conscious people will meet to discuss reality. Sitting in a room full of normal people having a discussion about the state of the town and country is invigorating. It is reassuring to know there are people outside the Trump fog. The meeting is at the Democratic headquarters on Bonita street.
The atmosphere is dramatically different from a Hooplehead clutch of idiots. First, everyone is welcome. We have Republicans in recovery that have left the cult, independents, and just about every person who is out of the cult fog. Some cultist even show up at times.
The big difference is at the door. If you show up you can be assured entrance, and you will be handed the microphone to speak as you please. Contrast this to a Hooplefest. If you go to the Tea Party and they suspect you don't believe the lies, no entrance. If you go to a Republican meeting anywhere in Payson you will be denied admittance if you are know to ask hard questions and speak the truth.
At the Donuts with Democrats everyone sits in a circle and each person is given a chance to speak. At a Hooplehead meeting there is usually a guest liar, and questioning is usually just someone praising the liar with softball questions. Questioning is meaningless at a Hoople meeting because the audience knows if you ask anything that might expose the liar, you will be banned from the club. The Hooples have more than once called the police on questioners that embarrassed the liar. Never has there been a call to the police when the Donuts group meets. Come on down and experience real people, talking about real problems, in a friendly atmosphere. Reassure yourself there are normal people in Payson.
