It has been a long trail. Over 23 years ago the Kadizzles set out on the great adventure of the southwest. In our first rickety camper we plugged south the first winter. Over that 23 years we have met so many good friends on the road, but the first good traveler we ever met was Ed. Winky had to have a look at Ed's camper and wandered over. Next thing you knew we were hiking, biking, and traveling together. Ed has set the world record for staying in a Casita consistently since Adam met Eve. Ed just turned 90. Ed has been around the block from airline pilot to jazz musician.
A favorite memory of Ed is the picture in my mind of him playing his electronic piano in the back of his camper. It looks like a jukebox with a live puppet. When you see Ed sitting in the window you think " Where do you put the quarter in?".
Ed does not tolerate cold. If anyone every chased 72 degrees around the southwest it was Ed. Ed has has lived frugally. His carbon footprint would just be the toes.
One thing Kadizzle could never figure about Ed is his fear of heights. Often Ed would decline a hike because of the high places. The strange thing is Ed used to fly a 747. Apparently he did not realize it was in the air.
