A pleasant rain

Rain in the desert is always welcome. Like the mountains we left this desert is lush. Somehow moisture that usually goes north is stopping here. One thing Kadizzle noticed last night as the sun went down the nice smell of the desert. Kadizzle had a gin and tonic and fell asleep in the chair out in the pleasant warm air. Settling in may take a couple days. The refrigerator has to be stocked, lines hooked up, and the wi-fi booster installed. At Cliff's the cell tower was about two hundred yards away. Here the service is often terrible. We both agreed it is a little quieter her. It was plenty quiet at Cliff's, but you could hear car noise once in awhile. There is no logging or logging trucks here. This forest is oriented more towards recreation and grazing. As our winter friends trickle in it will be nice to see them. The Canadians still cannot get here, and there are a lot of good Canadian friends we miss.
