Week Long Sail

Saturday the sailing fleet will head west for a week.  So Kadizzle may be out of touch for awhile.  Maybe a post can be sent in from the computer.  It is a great bunch of people who do this every summer.  As usual it will be all sailboats, except on huge power boat.  Doc comes with his Titanic.  Doc is great to have along.  Not only do we have doctor, but he has Mohito night and serves everyone Mohitos.  With the lake so high all the usual stops will be so different.  North Dakota has some wonderful spots that no one knows about.  Few things in the United States compare to sailing up the Little Missouri.  The scenery is fantastic,  it is remote, and you have it all to yourself.  A major part of Lake Sakakawea backs up into the Little Missouri.  It almost forms a separate lake.   Because it is in the Badlands boats can go long distances up what were once creeks.  One of Kadizzles absolute favorite places on the lake is the little creek we go up and anchor in the Badlands.  The creek is so narrow you can hardly turn the boat around, but it is a great spot.  This is the place where we saw the most fantastic rattlesnake display last year.  Two rattlesnakes were either mating or fighting.  The snakes would wrestle and fight until they fell down the embankment into the water.  The snakes would crawl out rest, and start over.  Anyway if the system works perhaps Kadizzle can get you an update from the lake.  In the meantime do what you can to save us from the Hoopleheads.
