The Electric Bike is Here

To trumpets and fanfare the Radrover electric bike arrived yesterday.  Stroupini and Kadizzle quickly assemble the new machine.  Electric bikes may be the future.  Here is how it works: You get on and decide how much help you want peddling.  You can change the help setting on the go from one to five.  Since the bike weighs about sixty pounds you need at least the one setting to cancel the weight of the bike.  At five the bike does it all.  The bike has seven gears so you select the gear like you would a normal bike.  Also the bike has a throttle you can turn on and off.  So if you are going up a hill and want a little boost just turn the throttle.  Danger, danger, danger.  If the throttle is turned on and you grab the bike while standing beside it and accidentally twist the throttle the bike will take off. Sylvie found this out.

So far the bike has proven to be fun.  The bike crew needs to figure how far the bike will actually take you.  We may experiment today.  On flat ground without peddling it should take you twenty miles.  Basically the harder you pedal the farther you go.  The manual predicts you can go forty miles with some hard peddling.  The bike is fun to ride.  Once you start to peddal the bike gives you a nice little boost and off you go.  Stoupini and Kadizzle rode the bike back and forth to his house on the bike path.  It is a nice looking bike that comes with headlight, tail light, bell, and nice leather hand grips.

If all goes well the bike will soon be tested at Harmon lake on the nice dirt bike path.  That should be real fun.  The best thing about the bike are the fat tires, and we do mean fat.  The fat tires mean snow, sand, and mud are do da.  Today will be fat tire bike day.
