Sharing the family

Children are precious, in more ways than one. First they cost a fortune, but then perhaps they are worth it. Now our children have had children, which we may even enjoy more. You can turn them in when you get tired of playing with them. You don't have to feed them, and eventually you get some peace and quiet with grandchildren. However, you have to share the family with inlaws. In the old days in Hazen we had both extended families at Christmas. Now that we have moved to Payson we will be alone for Christmas. Sister Patty could not come up from Cottonwood because of the weather. Our new neighbors Larry and Grant brought us some cookies yesterday. Christmas will be celebrated with just Winky and the neighbors.

Rain fell all day yesterday and the sediment pond in the back yard filled up. The pond was a strange aspect of the property Kadizzle is not to happy with. It is not actually a pond, but a cinder block enclosure. It should have been a pond. Kadizzle may turn it into a more attractive part of the yard, but that will take time. Rushing into this house purchase has had a few glitches, but Winky wanted a home in Payson. Our main reason for living here is the surrounding area. There are endless trails, mountains, and wild area. We have such a large new area to explore on foot, on ebikes, and on the motorcycle. Then there is the Earth Module which can take us out for longer trips. Waking up with mountain scenery is very different from the old prairie in North Dakota. We have not escaped the Trump flags and the redneck pickup trucks. Add to that the pretend motorcycle guys who would like to think they are part of some gang.

Now Winky just came in the engine room and said Kadizzle must help her pack up the bar stools she ordered. Winky does not hesitate to order things and send them back. Not sure what color she wanted she ordered every color. Now out of four chairs three will have to go back, what a fun way to start the day packing chairs. Of course next the chairs will have to be hauled somewhere like UPS and that also will be fun. Money flies out the window with a new home. We are doing our part to support the economy and inflation. The trick will be for us to give out before the money does.
