The People You Meet

At the soiree yesterday the former captain of a 50 ft Charter catamaran which he also owned swapped sailing stories with Kadizzle and the gang.  Riding through the campground Kadizzle encountered the older couple who originally hailed from Switzerland.  Hans actually did a Swiss yodel for us before he left.  Ken and Rita bought an old aluminum canoe with a place for a little electric motor on it. They had a little adventure exploring the lake. The Swiss were out bike riding when Kadizzle took Hans on a tour of the local trails. His wife Ruth did not want to do the gravel trails and she went back to their camp with Winky to cackle about adventures.  Bob and Liz took off early in the day.  Kadizzle tried to tell Bob he was making a mistake wanting to visit Quartzite.  Quartzite is the place you would give the planet an enema.  Bill did not show up at the soiree today, but Kadizzle had a good conversation with Bill. Bill used to be a machinist that did very precise work.  Among other things he built components for MRI and CAT scan machines.  Bill explained how he got over precision.  Looking at his campsite you could see it was a very successful cure. Junk was strew about everywhere.  One key to life is realizing when enough is enough and what really matters.  One of the great joys is meeting people when we travel.  Every person is a book. Some people are not such good books, but most are very interesting books.  Instead of reading Kadizzle would much rather hear a real person tell about their life and adventure, and there are plenty of travelers in the RV world with endless stories from all over the world. You learn so much interviewing these people.
