Winky helped Kadizzle launch The Rusty 1. Stroupini asked Kadizzle what he would name the boat. Kadizzle explained it would be the Rusty 1. After the boat fell off the trailer it had to be fixed. Kadizzle found a simple minded fellow that was of course a Trumper to fix the boat. Rusty was a cackler. He loved to talk more than Kadizzle. Rusty quickly explained that his crew consisted of him, Rusty two, and his dad. Since his helper also was named Rusty he explained people called him Rusty 1, and his helper was Rusty 2. Rusty 1 said the boat would be done in two weeks. Three months later the boat was ready to go. The excuses would fill an encyclopedia.
The day was crystal clear and it was a strange sensation to see things from the water. The little boat seems to have some pep. The magic of sailing set in. Relaxing is what sailing is about. Kadizzle slowly putted about. Like an old dog, Kadizzle misses the Sovereign. The regret of selling the old big sailboat is like losing an arm. After Kadizzle sold the big boat he realized it could never be replaced. It was the ideal boat for Kadizzle and Winky, perfect size, and perfect set up, sailed like a dream and was faster than an insurrection. Looking forward to sailing The Rusty 1 in a more peppy wind. The Rusty one would not be too hard to overturn. It has been twenty years since Kadizzle hurtled a Hobbie Cat. If this boat goes keel up it will probably be a fitting end to Kadizzle.
