A Day of Murals

Today we walked miles through the streets and allies of Denver.  Denver has some program in place with has encouraged murals to pop up everywhere. Denver feels like a different city somewhere in Mexico or a strange land. It is fun to see hundreds of these things and one sees how diverse the human mind can be. You have to admire people who can let something flow out of their head and onto a wall.

Our passes through Denver are always enjoyable. The city is growing at an unbelievable pace, and generally speaking doing a good job with it.  Coming from the remote part of Arizona into the vast suburbia is a big change.  Eating and Drinking are major productions in Denver.  If any thing has a garage door on it you must make it into a brewery.  You cannot go fifty feet without finding beer flowing and people sitting around tables consuming it.  Yesterday the Kadizzle clan went to Firehouse 26, which no longer puts out fires, but does put out beer.  This place will actually can a beer for you to take home. Some friends sat at our table and one guy had a very big can of beer.  They had just canned the beer for him to take home.  It looked like a big beer you might get from the shelf anywhere.  Coming from Hazen, North Dakota where you have to travel 75 miles to find a couple of good eating places we are blown away by the infinite variety of eating places in Denver. In summery, murals, breweries, and restaurants, that is Denver.
