Summer is crashing down.

The seasons roll by.  Summer seems to be coming. Sometimes it seems like a freight train rolling toward Kadizzle, and other times a snail.  The good ship Sovereign sits at it's slip like a horse in a stall.  Rodger and Kadizzle took the boat out for sea trials and miraculously everything worked.  Mrs. Kadizzle dutifully placed the bedding on the bunks.  If God is willing and the wind blows this weekend may be our first trip west.  Sleeping on the boat in the quarter berth is usually a pleasure.  The quiet and darkness in a cove with a little cool air provide ideal sleeping.  Awaking in the morning to the sound of geese and looking out the hatch to see deer grazing is a pleasure.

So here we go summer is coming.  Kadizzle has accumulated too much chicken meat around his waist. One good way to deal with too much chicken meat is to peddle the old bicycle up to the boat. Now that is a 23 mile trip.  It is unlikely the motivation will come, but the exercise is needed.  The first obstacle on the trip is the hill by the cemetery immediately north of Hazen.  They cemetery was placed there to remind bike riders that if you do not get some exercise you will soon be in the cemetery.  You can also get to the cemetery by heart attack, the one you get from going up the hill beside the cemetery.

A bicycle is a wonderful device. You can turn it around and coast back to Hazen at any point going up the hill. Will power is in short supply so that is definitely a possibility.  If one just rode the bike around Hazen there would be no hills.  Hmmm that might be a solution.  Of course bike riding can make one hungry. So maybe Kadizzle should avoid it and just surf the internet. That is a sure way to lose some chicken meat.
