The Old man is moving in

The other day we visited Ruth and Rodger.  Rodger told Kadizzle " The old man is moving in".   Roger was referring to just plain getting old.  According to Rodger the old man starts at the bottom and move into your feet. As the man moves in he works his way up to your head.  There is a lot of truth in this.  Kadizzle hiked up the mountain yesterday with the whole trail gang.  We cleared brush as usual.  Higher and higher we went finally reaching about 5,000 feet.  Cliff and Mrs Kadizzle went farther as Little Mike and Big Mike returned to the truck.

When we finally got back to the Forest Service visitor center to drop off the truck Kadizzle had to walk to the office to put the keys away.  Like so many days his body was frozen up.  The soreness and worn out legs could hardly get the hulking body to move.  The old man had definitely moved into the body.

So here we sit. Kadizzle is recovered from yesterday, only to start another day.  Finding an easy mission would be great, but it looks a lot like we may go up another mountain today.  Little Mike wants to get in shape so he can do an overnight backpack trip.  Little Mike says you have to keep the interval short between hikes or you will lose what strength you have gained.  There could be some truth in that.

The good news is we will get a break in the dreary weather and have a nice day today with crystal clear skies.  Cliff should be showing up soon for morning coffee.  Cliff is over at his dwelling with a candle lit listening to calming music preparing for the day.  Just like everyday Mrs. Kadizzle jumped out of bed with the buzzies.  Jumping around full of energy how she does it is a mystery.
