Arizona Trail

Little Mike got the ride of his life as we headed up to clear brush on the Arizona Trail.  Each road got progressively worse until we reached Kadizzle's favorite motorcycle crash test area.   The hike starts at over  4k feet.  This hike turned out to be one of the nicest in the area.   The Arizona Trail has a tendancy to follow the ridges so it was relatively level with an incredible view in every direction.  The trail has it all, you can see both lakes from the trail.  To the North is Roosevelt Lake and to the southwest you have Apache lake.  Once the trail dips down in the valley some nice forest is there to walk through.  Kadizzle hiking at his slower pace went with Little Mike. Of course fireball Cliff and Mrs Kadizzle shot down the trail to discover where it hooked onto the Tule Trail.

On the way back a small yellow helicopter buzzed into the valley below us.   The sky machine landed, but no one got out.  Apparently they stopped to overlook Apache Lake.  Next we ran into a couple younger hikers scoping out the trail. The two guys from Alaska had hiked the entire distance we drove from the bottom.  Kadizzle offered to takedtheir packs back in the truck, but they refused.
