Back in the saddle fighting the rodents

Republican rodents tear down Harris political signs every night. It is almost a pleasure to replace the signs. Republicans are mean nasty people. It was Trump's gang that called Puerto Rico a floating garbage dump, Trumps rodents give you the finger and shout nasty things. The rodents drive large goofy pickup trucks that deliberately spew black smoke, the rodents carry guns, the rodents lie, cheat and steal. What can you say good about the Trump gang?

It has become a morning ritual to jump on the motorcycle and see what damage the Republican rodents have done. Kadizzle always puts up two signs for every one the rodents destroy. Democrats were short of signs, but we got a huge shipment.

On a small scale Payson, our new home has become a mini Trump disaster. The three Tea Party Rats got elected because the independents did not understand how to vote. Now we have a mini Trump regime ruining the town.

In 1946, the United States imported German SS intelligence officers in an effort to form what later become the Central Intelligence Agency. This was part of a plan conducted by Allen Dulles in 1943, when a deal was cut with German intelligence to provide the Untied States with a viable intelligence operation as well as provide German intelligence with a place to go after the
war. Good inducement, indeed.

Ah, yes. In 2014, the Obama administration implemented a temporary ban on certain types of research involving dangerous pathogens, such as those that could cause pandemics. This pause was specifically on "gain-of-function" research, which involves modifying viruses to make them more infectious or deadly in order to study their potential effects and develop countermeasures. The main goal was to address safety concerns, as there was worry about accidental leaks from labs and the ethical implications of making viruses more harmful.

The pause was intended to allow time to review safety protocols and assess the risks and benefits of such research. It applied to studies involving influenza, SARS, and MERS viruses but left room for researchers to apply for exceptions if the work was deemed urgently necessary. This policy was lifted in 2017 when the U.S. government introduced new guidelines for this type of research.

The 2014 moratorium on gain-of-function research by the Obama administration has since been a topic of debate, with some arguing it was necessary to prevent accidental outbreaks and others contending it may have slowed critical research.
