Send this letter to town council

 Dear Members of the Town Council and Fellow Community Members,

I write to you today on behalf of a deeply concerned citizenry regarding the recent developments surrounding the appointment of an interim town manager. As you know, the council has already appointed an interim town manager who is qualified, capable, and equipped to lead our community during this transitional period. Given this, we must ask: why is there now a push to appoint a crony of the three recently elected town council members?

The role of interim town manager is far too vital to be influenced by political favoritism. Introducing unnecessary changes to this position undermines stability and raises serious questions about the motivations behind this effort.

We respectfully ask the council to address the following points:

1. Why Change Leadership Now?
   What justification exists for replacing the current interim town manager, who has already demonstrated qualifications and capability? Disrupting leadership at this stage risks delaying key initiatives and damaging the progress we have achieved.

2. Transparency in the Process:
   If a new appointment is being considered, we demand a full and public disclosure of the reasons for this action, along with the criteria used to evaluate candidates. Transparency is essential to maintain public trust in the council's decisions.

3. Rejection of Cronyism:
   We urge the council to ensure that the process remains free of favoritism. Appointing a candidate based on political alliances rather than qualifications undermines the integrity of our local government and erodes confidence in its leadership.

The citizens of this town deserve an interim town manager chosen through a fair, transparent process focused on competence and the community's needs. Personal or political preferences must not dictate such an important decision.

We call on the council to reaffirm its commitment to the values of fairness, accountability, and transparency. The trust and future of our town depend on it.
