Over fifty years ago I read a book titled " This perfect day", well it was today. Kadizzle awakened in the bnb in such a wonderful setting with such a wonderful host who had homemade bread on the counter for breakfast. After delicious coffee Kadizzle set out for the Garden of Eden. The Quarry Garden as it is called is one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Winky would have gone absolutely berserk seeing the incredible plants. Then came the hike up and through the jungle around the garden. The jungle was far better than any Kadizzle has ever experienced. The best walk imaginable after coming from the desert. The air here is delicious. It is so full of oxygen you don't even have to breath it just soaks through your skin.
Back at the Airbnb Kadizzle met John the other occupant. John is a big guy and he explained that he is a celebrant. Of course Kadizzle never heard of such a thing. John summarizes people's lives after they die at a ceremony, a very interesting occupation. Much of the day was spent planning Kadizzle's funeral.
John and Kadizzle decided to drive about Whangaria together. John navigated while Kadizzle practiced driving on the wrong side of the road. After going to a peak to get a good view of the area we went to a pub for lunch. At lunch Kadizzle had the best pizza ever. We sat down beside two professional racing sailors. One man runs the sailing syndicate for the guy who owns Oracle. It was great talking to him about the newest boat in production for the America Cup race. Kadizzle is very tempted to go watch the practice sailing the boat, may do it tomorrow. John and Kadizzle then went on to a beach to see some surfing. Upon returning we had a great time picking out funeral music for each of us including host Julie. Went out for fish and chips, came back and had some more wonderful company. Could hardly have been a better day. The collection of boats here is unbelievable.
