Our existence is fragile. We just got a call our good friend Dave fell from a ladder yesterday and died. Dave has been an outstanding member of our trail crew. His generosity is surpassed by no one. People abused Dave by asking him to do favors. He always complied with a smile. He helped Bill do a water pump on his truck last year. He spent weeks welding on the dumpsters here at the park for free. No doubt he will get an Easy Pass to heaven. This will be a big blow to our trail crew. Dave was a worker and loved to exert himself clearing the trails. Among other things Dave was a good mechanic. He could fix diesel, outboard boats, small engines. It was just a day ago he sat here with us at our evening BS session. Dave loved to play cards. Impossible to imagine the winter without Dave.
