The Alps

Hesitant to spend the money Kadizzle was glad he did. The trip to the highest point in Europe was very well worth the price. The Gondola ride up to the cog railway in itself was hard to describe. From very high in the air hanging from a cable you just floated over incredible sights. Once at the top Kadizzle was again blasted with magnificent views of the Rugged Alps. Comparing the Alps and the Rockies kept the mind busy. The Alps won by a strong margin.

The Swiss are marvelous engineers. Building a railroad through a mountain top is an act of insanity. Once off the cable cat you board a cog railway that travels 26 minutes through a tunnel to the highest point in Europe. Disembarking you take an elevator to the Sphinx Observatory. Here you have that sensation of first seeing the Grand Canyon. You get to look down on Europes  glacier.

Kadizzle always wanted to see the Alps. They did not disappoint. Europe is overrun with tourists. Asians and people from India seemed in the majority. For once in a lifetime Kadizzle felt like a minority. The groups led by a flag carrier seemed odd.

To many people for an old hillbilly. Returning to Bumfuck Egypt in Arizona will be pleasant.
