Jackie rolled in yesterday in her Snodpod. That is what she calls her camper. Jackie will be part of the trail crew. She is a very tough hiker. Yesterday Marty and Annette visited, two more strong outdoor people. Annette is going to hike across England for the second time. One thing about the people we know from our outdoor life is they are hearty people. Kadizzle could go through the list and name so many people over 70, and some 75 who are hiking up mountains, riding mountain bikes, repelling, and rafting. Can think of none that are Republicans. Oh the places they have been. Amazing that if you just sit in the right place the people you will meet. Just sitting in front of the Earth Module we have met some very nice interesting people. What happens is people wander by, but no one would wander by where we are unless they had an sense of adventure. We are in a campground, but where we are is closed off to the public. So when someone comes by our place on an ebike or on foot they have to be doing a little exploration. Usually we invite them to sit down and in no time we are having a beer sharing adventures and the Kadizzles are explaining the area to them. Swapping stories about how to explore Utah, New Mexicao, and the southwest enables everyone to share special places. One big item that works well is finding wonderful camp spots. Yesterday Marty wanted to find a crysilated cactus. About one in two hundred saguaro cactus. These cactus grow in strange fashion and Marty is a photographer. Kadizzle drove Marty up towards Peter Bigfoots and showed him a nice example. On the road up to Bigfoot's it was amazing what the recent floods had done. Huge pieces of concrete meant to protect the stream side were tossed about.
