The biggest waste in the world

Nothing waste more money than churches.  Huge buildings that sit idle all week and get used for a couple hours on Sunday. What insanity.   Something interesting happened here in the little hamlet of Hazen.  The fundies went broke.  Once the fundamentlist had a church on Main Street.  Then they got the notion to move the church building to the west of town. Apparently Jesus was not too enthralled with the fundies and they were just not bringing in a crowd.  The fundies ended up with a fairly nice church, but no business.  How did this turn out good?  Now the church in it's entirety has been turned into a wonderful day care center for the little knuckleheads.  You know the crumb grinders.  Now a building that was once used to fill children's heads with nonsense on Sunday is being used every day of the week to teach them real life skills.  How many churches are still sitting idle, useless all week? How many churches are eating up gas and electricity doing nothing.  Why not convert these archaic buildings to something useful like day care centers for little kids, or gathering places for the homeless. You name it, what a waste of bricks to use once a week, when the whole structure could be used for clinics, schools, and on it goes.  In Hazen we have no place to exercise like a YMCA or a fitness center, but we have invested in idle buildings.  If we need churches, why not share.  Why not have one church. The Baptist can send their email to got at eight, the Lutherans at nine, and the Catholics at ten.  Rotate.  Does God really want songs, and the same old BS or would God like to see some little children taken care of during the day while their moms struggle under Republican oppression?
