Ken, Rita, and the Kadizzles slogged up the canyon Aravaipa Canyon with out host Richard. Richard and his wife Polly so kindly let us use their guest house. The little cottage sat high on the hillside overlooking the valley below. It was one of those hikes where you are in the creed about half the time. One mile, two miles, three miles, four miles up the creek. The canyon is a treasure of the southwest with similarities to some of the other huge canyons we have been in. The best part was a short side trip up a side canyon full of wonderful water features. For the time of year the water was amazingly warm. Our host were so gracious they invited us for dinner and Polly is a professional cook, so the rest is gastric history. Polly cooks at a farm in the valley. The farm is both active producing fruits and vegetables, and also has wonderful accommodations for guest in various guest houses. If you want something different and memorable it is the answer. As we walked through the canyon the rock features and formations were like art of the Earth. After the wonderful hike some very weary travelers settled down for the night. Winky slept outside both nights. Kadizzle snored indoors with Ken and Rita.
