Globe Arizona

Today we head to Globe.  Globe is a shot up mining town.  Some woman told Kadizzle the streets were laid out  with a snake.  The town seems like someone planned it on a napkin and lost the napkin.  The genetics in the town is about the same.  Someone put DNA in a blender and spilled it on Globe.  Globenians are a mix of Indians, Chinese, Mexicans, and wandering Americans.  The boom and bust nature of the town is evident.  Cooper is the key to the game.  The cooper mines have ups and downs. When people make money they buy a pickup and a new trailer.  When the mines collapse drugs are the answer.  Like it or lump it Globe is where we have to go to shop. Globe does have its charm.  It has the best Halloween parade on Earth,  some of the art is unique, and a lot of it is based on cooper.  Winky is going to an art show there today.   Mexican food is also good, and cheap in Globe.   Grocery shopping is like spending time on another planet.  When the Indians get paid there is a line around the block of people waiting to cash checks.  They only let a few in the bank at a time.  The town is surrounded by the tailings from the mine and several headstocks can be seen from anywhere in town.
