Yesterday

Yesterday Kadizzle wrote about the nasty road he was going to drive. Well it was a nasty road. It turned out Kadizzle and the trail crew got some bad information. Technically the road was closed. As Kadizzle drove the truck up the mountain he realized a dozer must be working on the road. Sure enough he soon encountered a man working on the road with a bulldozer. Getting by the machine would not be easy because the road was steep and narrow. The dozer man got down and we had a chat. Mr. Dozer said he had not been all the way down the road, but he thought it was good until the last creek. Good meant good enough to get there. The road was terrible and the truck struggled to make the trip in four wheel low drive. Kadizzle decided to leave the truck for the crew and ride the ebike back to camp. It was a nice ebike ride through some spectacular mountain scenery until Kadizzle had to go down a very steep rocky part of the road. At first he got off and walked the bike a little, then stupidity set in and he decided to ride down the steep rocky road. Playing dare to be stupid quickly caught up to him. Kadizzle tried to stop and went over the handle bars onto the rocks. Fortunately the end result was some small cuts and bruises. This all happened close to where the dozer was working. The dozer man did not get to see the crash. When Kadizzle stopped to talk to Mr. Dozer again Mr. Dozer asked if Kadizzle had fallen. Kadizzle was puzzled about how he knew and asked him.  Mr. Dozer said he noticed the blood on Kadizzle's hands. At this point Kadizzle had to admit how stupid he was. The real lesson was about not wearing a helmet. If the old fat man had hit his head on a rock during the crash it may have been over. Hopefully the old man will get smarter on these adventures. However, it always works out about the same, you take off thinking you are on a cake walk and it turns out to be much more of a trek.
