We are crumbling. Winky and Kadizzle beside each other in bed discussed crumbling. Like it or not old people crumble and eventually turn into dust or something else. Our minds don't realize they are living in old bodies that are falling apart. Walk through the forest and you will see old trees crumbling down. They don't fall apart all at once, but none escape the collapse.
Some poet said " Go gently into the night". Hope all this is not too depressing, but such is life. At some point one has to realize it is time to park the car. That is just one of the revelations of old age.
How do you crumble? Maybe you find a nice spot and just sit there watching television. Occasionally you might visit other crumblers. These two old crumblers are going to find themselves living in the Earth Module with no home for the foreseeable future? This would not be so bad if the country were not in the grips of a simple minded mentally ill president, and a pandemic. Perhaps the world is crumbling also. The dinosaurs were wiped out by a comet. A stupidity asteroid has impacted our planet and the dust of ignorance is making it hard to breath.
Getting rid of all our junk is a major problem. If you need more fribbles, maybe a dozen coffee cups, or a brand new bottle of wall paper remover call right away and we will throw in endless other junk free. All that magic stuff that has sat around forever has got to go. This brings Kadizzle to yesterday. About thirty five years ago Kadizzle bought a magic telescoping stick with a magnet on the end. Kadizzle thought someday this will come in handy. The day was yesterday. A nut fell into a place on the Earth Module we could not reach. Kadizzle rushed to the basement to get tool just made to solve the problem. Too bad, when he got back Bob had already got his magic magnet and solved the problem. So the tool that had sat idle for thirty five years never got used. That is the story of so much of the crap in our house. Someday it was going to serve some purpose. That day never came, now it serves the purpose of giving two people exercise carrying it to the thrift store, or the junkyard.
One of Kadizzle's favorite sayings of all time is " A man is rich in accordance with what he can afford to do without". Not being burdened by junk makes you rich. Once you actually assess all your junk you realize how much you could have done with out. Maybe two coffee cups would have been enough, so the twenty in the cabinet were really not needed.
