Day two of fighting brush on the Deer Creek trail is over. Six worn down old people stopped for ice cream on the way back from the trial. Carrying the motorized weed whackers in three miles to start work was chore, but many hikers will be happy to walk the trail unaccustomed by thorns.
Rain may fall this evening, and the desert can use a dose. Tomorrow we head to Tuson and perhaps some ebike riding. A hot shower will feel good, and then wonderful rest.
