Cliff told old Kadizzle he could ride the ebike, while Winky and Cliff went on foot on the Indian Spring Trail. Cliff assured Kadizzle it was a fine bike ride. Kadizzle decided to go in the opposite direction on the loop trial so he would meet the other two on foot. Off we went. Kadizzle found the trail nice and figured he would quickly complete the entire seven miles in no time. Things changed rapidely. In this area there had been fires, and blowdowns. Soon Kadizzle encountered large trees across the trail. Each time he came to a tree he had to go over, under, around or through the mess. As he went farther and farther into the forest he assumed the tree mess would improve, it didn't. Should he turn around or continue with the struggle of picking up the heavy bike every hundred feet to hoist it over a log? Digging himself in deeper he began to see that he was making no more progress than if he were walking. At last he came to the old railroad grade and hope emerged. False hope, the railroad grade also was also blocked by trees. Halfway through the trip Kadizzle ran into Winky and Cliff. Winky said the trail was worse with downfall where they came from. However, Cliff said it would be best for Kadizzle to continue in the same direction he was going. Winky said Kadizzle should turn back. Fortunately Kadizzle took Cliff's advice and found a logging road Cliff had seen. The logging road got Kadizzle out of the maize. On good roads Kadizzle made it back to the truck in no time. In the end Kadizzle got an upper body workout lifting the bike hundreds of times to clear logs. Next time Kadizzle starts down a train and finds out it has not been cleared he will turn around.
