Winky and Kadizzle took a steep hike up Vineyard trail yesterday. Kadizzle realized that coming down is as bad, if not worse, than going up. The view from the top was worth the effort. Today Kadizzle tooke the ebike on an extensive review of the area. Hopefully checked an Indian site. Nothing new turned up and it was a bit disappointing. The lake is still high and a ride down to the canal showed the water was still in the canal. Hot, it is 85. Winky and Kadizzle are at war with the pack rats. Yesterday we put a smoke bomb in their hole and they shot out like rockets.

Settled In
Kadizzle just returned from the nice little private restrooms the Forest Service provides us with. It is a glorious day with crystal clear sky and sunshine spilling everywhere. We had a good swara yesterday. Bill stopped by and had a beer with us. Bill says the local Forest Service will bet a 7 million dollar blessing so we may be able to fix some things up. Social distancing has become the norm in our little group. Rita wears a mask even outside. Winky went nuts yesterday protecting the sewer line. She believes it may be attacked by the Javelinas. They have damaged some in other places. They are brave and Bill showed us a picture of one trying to get in his camper. The hummingbirds have not shown up and that has Winky concerned.

Christmas in six days
Just cannot wait for Christmas on election day. If Trump is run out of town it will be better than any Christmas. The sun just popped up in the desert. The sky is crystal clear, and it looks like a wonderful day. Today we install the sewer hookup. Oh, what fun. Yesterday we went to Globe for supplies. Diesel fuel was less than gas. The Walmart in Globe was a big surprise, they were making the simple minded wear mask, and they were enforcing it. Globe is another planet, with strange people, and an up and down economy that depends on the price of copper. One person there once told Kadizzle the streets were laid out with a snake. That seems to be true the street system makes no sense. Like so many mining towns houses popped up anyplace. Sitting here in the Earth Module for the first time with brilliant sunshine. We live in a strange place isolated from everything, no traffic, no neighbors, no noise. The isolation can be boring, but also tranquil. The future of the planet could hinge on getting rid of Trump and his band of thieves. With global warming Trump could be the man that tips us toward the end.

Electric Flames
Never thought Kadizzle would see the day Winky would praise a fake fireplace, but she likes the one in the Earth Module. It actually will put out heat. It does give our little nest a more cozy sense. Remarkably you can adjust the color of the flames or even just have the logs glow. If we had been given a choice we would not have one, but we are growing to like it.
The view from the Earth Module is pretty damn good. The new Earth Module has better windows than the old one. On the North we have an excellent view of the lake and mountains, to the south are the cliff dwellings and more mountains.
If Trump is run out of town on election day it will be such a wonderful day. The clouds will lift, it will feel like we can breathe again. The stupid people will go back into hiding. Oh, what a glorious day. On the other hand it could be the beginning of a civil war. The gun nuts are armed to the teeth just waiting to shoot. Trump insanity is very heavy right where we sit. Strangely the people that suffer the most from Republican policies support the idiocy the most.

The Earth Module has landed
Here Kadizzle sits at five in the morning local time. The Earth Module arrived late in the day at Lake Roosevelt. The desert is scarred all around us from the fires. The desert burns in a strange fashion. The fire burns in patches. What seems to be the problem is grass. The grass grows so fast and thick that it is the grass that spreads the fire.
Today we will have to get the module into place, and hook up the water and sewer. Dave greeted us when we pulled in. It was good to see a member of the trail crew. Rita and Ken pulled in a few hours earlier and Winky walked up to cackle them.
A little rain is falling and the desert has that nice fresh smell. All the roads and trails are closed in anticipation of flash flooding. The fires create the situation where the rain just runs off too fast. The trail crew will have a new boss and it will be interesting to see what are assignments are. More than likely we will be trying to rehabilitate the burnt trails.

Over The Pass
Wind is rocking the Earth Module in Raton, New Mexico. Snow is chasing us south. After watching Sylvie play soccer we headed down through Colorado. Two traffic jams on the interstate caused by vehicles catching fire. We met our friend from Nepal for the nice lunch he fixed us. In a nice city park we had lunch with Barat. We met Barat two years ago when camping in Colorado Springs. Barat has not seen his family for four years. Trying to eke out a living in various jobs in a foreign country takes persistence. Today we face horrendous head winds. Hopefully we will not get blown over. The urban sprawl all over the country is staggering. The East side of the Rockies seems like one continuous shopping mall. Today we will be going through some isolated country for relief.

Campaigning at Sam's Club
Just got back from Sam's club. Talked to about ten people and asked them to vote out the rat. My favorite was a black woman running some sort of sweeping machine. I asked her if she voted and she said she was going to vote for Biden. I then said something about getting the rat out of here. She said " We need to get his ass out of here". My sentiment exactly. Speak up, speak out, or you have no one to blame but yourself if we have four more years of this disaster.
Earth Module lands in Denver
The huge new camper settled onto the street in the Snoocher Bear's neighborhood. Grandpa had to give Sylvie a walking twenty for her perfect grades. The budding actor got another job doing a promotional video for the Denver Science Museum. Kadizzle is very hopeful the country twill be rid of a bunch of rats after the election. People remarked it was amazing to see Dear Leader act half normal during the debate. Perhaps a shock collar would work for him.
In our travels we met a gentleman from Nepal. He has offered to make lunch for us tomorrow. Awhile back he cooked us a Nepalese dinner. We are looking forward to it. Sylvie's dog is a Wooly Brumpus, at least that is what Kadizzle called the Wheaton Terrier. The pup is full of energy and a handful, but very smart.
The price of housing is booming here in daughters neighborhood, and they may go the housing bubble burst one more time. It creates a false sense of wealth that can have some bad results.

Wagon Prep
The Earth Module sits out there beside the house. Between is snow. Today final prep is being made for blast off tomorrow. Just like at the Cape weather is such a big factor. Old Kadizzle has learned not to drive in snow. The plan is to light the ignition tomorrow morning and head for a warmer planet. Today will be a day of cleaning, packing, and making sure last minute details are attended to. Good by Hazen, Good by North Dakota. Hopefully the rednecks will come to their senses. Going to miss sitting by this fire. Winky criticised Kadizzle for sitting here too much, but had to chase her out of my chair to get my place. Vote, vote, vote. Tell your friends to vote. It is critical that the rat in the White House be removed. This is the most important election in my lifetime. The clouds will lift. It will be better than the rapture if Trump is gone. Trump has threatened to leave the country if he loses. Could there be any better ending to the rat in the house?

Cutting Wood
Brian fired up the old pickup truck, and we hooked up the flatbed trailer. Down to the woods we went. Winky, Brain, and Kadizzly started chainsawing some heat. Trees are the ultimate solar machine. A tree can capture sunshine and save it for a wintery day. Once the logs were dragged from the treeline into the field we used two chainsaws to cut them into warmth. Brain spent the rest of the day splitting the wood. Kadizzle is sitting here at 4:30 A.M in front of our harvest burning in the hearth. Today Winky and Kadizzle have to make an early trip to Bismarck to see some doctors. Hopefully the PSA is still under control and more year lie ahead. The gas station in Stanton apparently had no gas so we have to drive the diesel to Bismarck. The new truck already has eight thousand miles on it.
It is looking very good for ridding the country of Trump. Kadizzle is mulling over the possibility of making a bet in the stock market on Trump's demise. Kadizzle thinks the market may surge on the news the country has be rid of the lying plague Donald Trump. Since we are homeless we have to keep some powder dry to buy a house if we find one in paradise somewhere. Don't want to blow the wad on a poor investment.

Burn that wood
Winky and Kadizzle are up early watching the Sunday news. Snow is on the ground. The fire has been burning strong for days. Can we cut the wood as fast as we are burning it? Sitting in front of the fire in a rocking chair has been very pleasant. Add to the fire some nice music in the background. Today we will help Brian refresh the wood supply. In a few days we will start our escape to the South. Sylvie got all A's at here new school so Grandpa will have to give her a " Walking 20". Someone used to give Kadizzle money and say you need some pocket money. That became walking money. As a Dad Kadizzle sometimes would surprise the kids with cash for a good report card. It did not happen every time, but it worked. Both kids graduated top in their class and went on to great colleges. The rewards were from the classic random reward text in college psychology.
Beginning to feel good about the election, but Trump showed us how many idiots are out there. Not only are they idiots, but they are proud to be idiots.

Kill Granny
It's all a hoax, and nothing to worry about until it kills granny, then we will have to get serious. Mercer County where we live was doing great, but the stupidity caught up. Too many people are still in the cult. You can spot a cult member from a mile away, no mask in the grocery store. Who cares, it is just a Democratic hoax. Fly your Trump flag high. Kadizzle has come to believe the only thing that can penetrate the mind of a Republican is cold and hunger. That was what the depression did. Our of the depression came the realization we need to care for each other. Republicans have attacked and removed every social safety net they can get their hands on. Driven wild by greed the rich have pillaged the poor. Let the peasants suffer from virus, we will fly to our second or third home on a private jet, but even Dear Leader got the plague. Will we awaken, that is the question, or will granny have to die?

The Silver Spade
Once upon a time Kadizzle was the training director for Consolidation Coal in Eastern Ohio. Kadizzle had to do safety training for about 2,000 people, some management training, and run a training center. As part of that job Kadizzle had some opportunities to go on the Silver Spade. It was the largest earth moving shovel ever built. If you view the video below you can get an idea of its size. To get on the machine one went on an elevator up through the center pin. Too lazy to write down some of the interesting stories about this machine, but if you ever want to hear them in my presence let me know. Sitting in front of the fire just happened to come across this video. Reminds me of how old Kadizzle is. My time in Ohio was when I was about 23. It was an interesting job and created some good stories.
He is Dead
The virus is raging in Hazen, yet the Trump flags still fly. Yesterday Kadizzle learned a guy he used to work with at AVS died from the virus. The guy had underlying conditions, but it should be a wake up call for the cult members in Hazen. If you get the virus in Hazen and have to be hospitalized they will send you to Fargo in an ambulance. Imagine that. The hospital system is being strained in North Dakota, yet the Republican lying goes on. It is just the flu. What does it take to bust the cult. Last night Trump's mental illness and inability to tell the truth were once more displayed for the public. What does it take to bust a cult member out? Stroupinin and Kadizzle were going to go to Bismarck today, but old Kadizzle is going to back out. No point in driving into the hornet's nest of virus in Bismarck. If the country awakens and votes the rat out of office it will be such a breath of fresh air. To have a government that funtions as a government will be wonderful, a government that protects us, a government that is truthful. The clouds will lift, the sun will shine.

How about some thought and poetry
Below is a video called New Years Eve. Kadizzle loves songs with good lyrics. A song writer that can put together music and words in perfect fashion is to be admired. Listen to the song and hopefully you can hear the lyrics. In our temporary home my old friend Ray left me a nice stereo system. That means Kadizzle gets to sit here in front of the fireplace Ray built and peck away on this computer. Kadizzle misses Ray and never thought the day would come that Kadizzle would be temporary living in Ray's house. He was an incredible man with so many talents. His son Brian has been so gracious to us. Ray built his own cannon with the utmost of detail and authenticity. At Ray's memorial we fired the cannon out in the front yard here. Ray went out with a bang, and he lived his life with a bang. Ray told it like it is. Kadizzle often recalls a story Ray told. In Beulah Ray waited in line at a store. Somehow Ray got in a conversation with someone in line about politics. The person he was talking too was a typical redneck Republican. After politely trying to reason with the may Ray gave up and simply said to the man " Your a f**king idiot". Ray generally stayed away from politics, but he knew where the bear did it's thing in the woods. Ray did so many civic projects few people know about. One day when we were building the Pocket Park in Hazen Kadizzle told Ray he was having a problem making certain bricks fit in the patio. Ray went to Stanton got his tools and came back and did a nice job of giving the patio a finished look. That was Ray. Now here Kadizzle sits in front of Ray's fire thinking of the past and all the good things about Ray. Ray loved to solve problems. When Kadizzle had to fix the hatch slide on the boat Ray took care of it. Kadizzle needed an oddly shaped piece of wood. Ray took on the challenge and made the wood. About 75 feet away is the room where Ray died. The world needs a lot more Rays and a lot fewer right wingers.
Hope Springs Eternal
Kadizzle is feeling we may be rid of Trump in a week or two. Even the dumbest ones seem to be awakening a little. The tidal wave of lies Trump has told have to have some effect on the terminally stupid. There is no lie to low for Trump to tell.
We are back at the North Dakota estate our friends are kindly letting us use as a temporary residence. Yesterday we started a fire to warm the place. Hazen has had a lot of virus cases. It would seem when you see your friends struck down by Trump's stupidity you might get a little smarter. The Trump cult is truly amazing. The willingness to stay in the bubble is hard to believe. As this is written Kadizzle sits in front of the TV. Republicans are doing all they can to suppress the vote.

Rolling On
This is the last day. Mud Dog and Kadizzle found a very nice hotel for ten dollars more than the bum house by the interstate. Sitting here with morning coffee. Winky had to put her mud dog suite in the shower to clean it. We are in St. Cloud and need to get back to Stanton. Hotel prices seem to be more reasonable with fewer people traveling, The fall colors have been great all along the trip. Miss my little Evie, and our new grandson Quinnie. Had a lot of fun with Evie. We played a lot with the peanut butter bear fantasy. The peanut butter bear would come in the house at night and steal the peanut butter. You could see him in the woods with peanut butter all over his face. Our first offspring of the male persuasion is chubby. There is fear he may turn out like Grandpa. Not to worry, his mom Cheech was chubby and a prettier girl would be hard to find. When they stretch out the chub gets used up. Quinn has big bones like grandpa and will be a big guy. One more cup of coffee, and not to long be for the final blast home.

Mud Dog
Kadizzle had to rename Winky today. Her new name might be Mud Dog. On our way back to North Dakota we stopped to ebike near Eclair Wisconsin. We found some very nice trails. At the top of a hill Kadizzle looked down and saw a specially constructed mountain bike bridge. It was obvious some skill would be needed to cross the bridge. Kadizzle warned Winky that when she got to the bridge she needed to be extra careful. Needless to say she ignored Kadizzles advice. Kadizzle had the pleasure of seeing Winky drop about six feet off the bridge into deep mud. It was a spectacular crash and thankya Jesus she was not hurt, but she was covered in mud. Kadizzle asked her to give advance notice the next time so he could do a video.

Ebiking the USA
This morning after we alighted from our hotel room we headed for some wooded ebike trails. They were not the smoothies we had the last time. The trails must have been designed to challenge the younger set. Winky was bleeding from both legs when we got done. There were hump, and bumps, and jumps, but we made it. For awhile we were lost in the woods in a maze of trails. After the bike ride it was back on the road. Here we sit in Elkhart, Indiana home of every RV in the world. Hate hotels, would much rather be in our Earth Module. Every hotel uses the same stinkum in the rooms. Last night the people in the next room blared the TV until Kadizzle had to talk to management to get them to turn it down. Tonight we have a room with a window we can open. Although Kadizzle was born and raised in the East, he is done with it. Too many people, too much traffic, and too much the same. Really the East Coast is not much different from Florida to Maine. Will be good to be back in ND. Good article in the NYT about Trump's thieving corruption.

The Cult
As a young person Kadizzle used to listen to WWVA radio in Wheeling, West Virginia where Kadizzle was born. The crooked stump preachers preyed on the ignorant. Never did Kadizzle think in his adult life we would have a president with a cult following that preys on the ignorant. No matter how obvious Trump is about his lying, his cheating, and his disdain for the working class the cult remains loyal. To the cult Trump is the Pope. Trump is infallible. All decent people have left his administration, but he has Barr and other lickspittles perfectly willing to do his evil.

Morning has Broken
Up and at em. The two little monkeys are full of energy for a new day. Hot tubing, biking, and races will fill the day. Quinn is already busy exploring the toys. Quinn has mastered his little car he pushes with his legs. With an art major and designer for a mother, Evie is busy all day with art projects. The house which was very orderly when we came now has children detritus scattered everywhere.
Of course we watched the debate last night. Will people wake up and leave the cult? Pence told all the regular lies and the cult soaked them up. It will be nice when the election is over.

Project Lady
Evie is forcing Grandpa to color constantly. In the project room we have ninety six crayons we have to keep busy. Entertaining a three year old is a full time job. The leaves up here in Vermont get nicer every day. Yesterday we hiked up the ski slope aways. How did we ever do it? Hard to believe we went through the insanity of raising two children. Here goes. Imagine Trump with little children. He would first teach them to lie, then to steal, then to call other children names. Feel sorry for Baron having old Donald as a father. Never see them together. Baron probably doesn't even know Trump. One thing is clear. Trump would not destroy the country if he had any love for his children. Driven wild by greed Trump is so self absorbed he could take a job as a sponge for himself.

The Old Grandpa
Here we sit in Vermont with the two grandchildren. Being a grandpa is a lot of work. Entertaining Evie is a job. In the hot tub, building with Legos , telling bear stories, chasing around, it is all a lot of work. An Eastern fall is a pleasant change with all the trees. We rode the ebikes up the mountain for a nice view. We have been very worried about the Trumpster. Who could replace him as a liar? Without the Trumpster we just could not understand the world, we would not know what the Chinese are up to or the liberals.

There is no housing shortage
With Dear Leader coming down with the virus that would seem to be the topic for today, but old Kadizzle has something else on his mind. Winky and Kadizzle are planted at a very large ski resort in Vermont. Of course there is no snow and no skiing. What is amazing is the vast number of empty homes, apartments, and various lodging. If someone took inventory of all the nice housing in this country they quickly find everyone could have a nice place to live. Across this country high quality housing sits empty. Even more amazing are the people working from home. This means thousands of office buildings are empty. That means even more potential housing. Poverty in the United States is a distribution problem. When those on top take it all there is little left for those on the bottom. We pile up the poor in the cities, and live like kings in the country.
