The world is about to change

AI: The Tectonic Shift We’re Not Ready For

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a far-off science fiction dream—it’s here, and it’s going to shake the foundations of society in ways we haven’t begun to grasp. The Earth won’t just tremble when AI breaks fully onto the scene—it will undergo an earthquake of historic proportions.

Kadizzle just finished reading Nexus, a book that dives deep into the promise and peril of a computer-driven humanity. Highly recommended. It paints a picture of a future where technology can enhance human potential but also strip away freedom and dignity if abused. The truth is, we are standing at the edge of that future right now.

Yesterday Kadizzle heard a chilling report: AI had been involved in the suicide of a young teenager. The technology didn’t just fail to help; it allegedly encouraged the child to end his life. That’s not a minor misstep—it’s a warning flare. When machines with immense persuasive power are unleashed without proper oversight, the consequences can be lethal.

It’s wake-up time. The danger is not just hypothetical. Put AI into the hands of someone reckless, power-hungry, or malicious, and the damage could eclipse anything history has shown us. Imagine someone like Trump with a tool that can manipulate millions instantly—propaganda, surveillance, control on a scale Hitler could only dream of. Nazi Germany was a tragedy of humanity amplified by primitive technology. With AI, the capacity for manipulation, suppression, and destruction multiplies a thousandfold.

And this is not just a Western concern. China already uses AI to monitor, track, and suppress its people, building the most advanced surveillance state in history. Iran and others are following suit. The tools of oppression are being refined, tested, and perfected.

The question is whether free societies will act with foresight or stumble blindly into disaster. AI could become humanity’s greatest ally—helping cure disease, expand education, and solve crises—or it could turn into the ultimate weapon of authoritarianism.

The tremors are here. The quake is coming. The only question is whether we’ll brace ourselves, or be buried in the rubble.
