 Who knows what the scale will say when Kadizzle returns to Arizona? Some good food got digested here.  Yesterday Kadizzle met a sandhog. Son in law Sam did not know what a sandhog is. Sandhogs dug the tunnels under the Hudson river in New York. Long ago Kadizzle read a story about a sandhog that was blown from under the river to the surface of the water unhurt. Was the story true? The sandhog confirmed that indeed such a thing had happened. The tunnel sandhogs work in are pressurized. The pressurized air blew out to the river and took the man with it.  He flew up through the sand and into the air ultimately landing in the river unhurt.

The other world.

Tomorrow we return from the other world. In the other world poverty does not exist. Kadizzle cannot afford to be rich, it cost too much. There are no shacks or old cars in the other world. No one does real work that involves sweat or dirty hands in the other world. The roads don't have potholes. Vacationers don't pull trailers, they ride jets.  The sky is full of private jets in the other world. Back home the sky buzzes with Cessna flies. Two coffees a pastry and a small piece of quiche, $32.  A meal that would cost one hundred dollars in the real world $300 in the other world. You don't cut your own grass, or clean your own house in the other world. No jacked up obnoxious pickup trucks here. Civilized people living the life of ease. 

Sitting in the jungle.

Granny and Grandpa are in New York, north of the big city.  The landscape is so vastly different from Payson, AZ.  From semi desert to jungle is a transition. Water falls from the sky here every day. Back in the homeland once every five or six months a drop falls. Also we are in the land of acute prosperity.  Poor people have been totally banned from the area. Price all the homes at a million or above and you have no problem with riff raff moving nearby.  A bobcat went down the driveway yesterday and the abundance of birds is a birders delight. On Saturday it is back to the semi desert climate.

Eight days ago, at the very moment that Trump was rubbing Macron’s back in the White House, the United States voted at the UN with Russia and North Korea against the Europeans demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops.

Two days later, in the Oval Office, the military service shirker was giving war hero Zelensky lessons in morality and strategy before dismissing him like a groom, ordering him to submit or resign.

Tonight, he took another step into infamy by stopping the delivery of weapons that had been promised. What to do in the face of this betrayal? The answer is simple: face it.

And first of all, let’s not be mistaken. The defeat of Ukraine would be the defeat of Europe. The Baltic States, Georgia, Moldova are already on the list. Putin’s goal is to return to Yalta, where half the continent was ceded to Stalin.

The countries of the South are waiting for the outcome of the conflict to decide whether they should continue to respect Europe or whether they are now free to trample on it.

What Putin wants is the end of the order put in place by the United States and its allies 80 years ago, with its first principle being the prohibition of acquiring territory by force.

This idea is at the very source of the UN, where today Americans vote in favor of the aggressor and against the attacked, because the Trumpian vision coincides with that of Putin: a return to spheres of influence, the great powers dictating the fate of small countries.

Mine is Greenland, Panama and Canada, you are Ukraine, the Baltics and Eastern Europe, he is Taiwan and the China Sea.

At the parties of the oligarchs of the Gulf of Mar-a-Lago, this is called “diplomatic realism.”

So we are alone. But the talk that Putin cannot be resisted is false. Contrary to the Kremlin’s propaganda, Russia is in bad shape. In three years, the so-called second largest army in the world has managed to grab only crumbs from a country three times less populated.

This will be expensive. It will be necessary to end the taboo of the use of frozen Russian assets. It will be necessary to circumvent Moscow’s accomplices within Europe itself by a coalition of only the willing countries, with of course the United Kingdom.

Second, demand that any agreement be accompanied by the return of kidnapped children, prisoners and absolute security guarantees. After Budapest, Georgia and Minsk, we know what agreements with Putin are worth. These guarantees require sufficient military force to prevent a new invasion.

Finally, and this is the most urgent, because it is what will take the most time, we must build the neglected European defence, to the benefit of the American umbrella since 1945 and scuttled since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

It is a Herculean task, but it is on its success or failure that the leaders of today’s democratic Europe will be judged in the history books.

Friedrich Merz has just declared that Europe needs its own military alliance. This is to recognize that France has been right for decades in arguing for strategic autonomy.

It remains to be built. It will be necessary to invest massively, to strengthen the European Defence Fund outside the Maastricht debt criteria, to harmonize weapons and munitions systems, to accelerate the entry into the Union of Ukraine, which is today the leading European army, to rethink the place and conditions of nuclear deterrence based on French and British capabilities, to relaunch the anti-missile shield and satellite programs.

The plan announced yesterday by Ursula von der Leyen is a very good starting point. And much more will be needed.

Europe will only become a military power again by becoming an industrial power again. In a word, the Draghi report will have to be implemented. For good.

But the real rearmament of Europe is its moral rearmament.

We must convince public opinion in the face of war weariness and fear, and especially in the face of Putin’s cronies, the extreme right and the extreme left.

They argued again yesterday in the National Assembly, Mr Prime Minister, before you, against European unity, against European defence.

They say they want peace. What neither they nor Trump say is that their peace is capitulation, the peace of defeat, the replacement of de Gaulle Zelensky by a Ukrainian Pétain at the beck and call of Putin.

Peace for the collaborators who have refused any aid to the Ukrainians for three years.

Is this the end of the Atlantic Alliance? The risk is great. But in the last few days, the public humiliation of Zelensky and all the crazy decisions taken in the last month have finally made the Americans react.

Polls are falling. Republican lawmakers are being greeted by hostile crowds in their constituencies. Even Fox News is becoming critical.

The Trumpists are no longer in their majesty. They control the executive, the Parliament, the Supreme Court and social networks.

But in American history, the freedom fighters have always prevailed. They are beginning to raise their heads.

The fate of Ukraine is being played out in the trenches, but it also depends on those in the United States who want to defend democracy, and here on our ability to unite Europeans, to find the means for their common defense, and to make Europe the power that it once was in history and that it hesitates to become again.

Our parents defeated fascism and communism at great cost.

The task of our generation is to defeat the totalitarianisms of the 21st century.

The Red Hats just don't notice. Greatness seems just like ungreatness, nothing happened but the theft. Prices are up students grades are down and the attack on common sense never ends. Trump has alienated every country in the world and opened the door for China to take over. 

Two wild monkeys

Old grandpa Kadizzle is in New York visiting his grandchildren. Waking up Grandpa was attacked by Quinn. After a lot of wrestling the other wild monkey Evie showed up. To some degree they entertain themselves, but old Grandpa get into the fray periodically. So much energy is unbelievable. Right now they are racing around chasing each other at a pace no adult keep up. Of course they are growing like weeds. Their cousin the Giant in Denver is now on her first boyfriend adventure. Watching Sylvie turn into a talented young women was a delight. Quinn and Evie will now be the young ones to watch. Megan their mom has started an interior design business.  Watching that take off will be fun.

Recently, I reached out to Lori Miller, Congressman Eli Crane’s local representative, to ask a straightforward question: Will Congressman Crane be holding a town hall in our area? Her response was, “I can’t talk to you about that.”

That answer is both baffling and unacceptable. As Eli Crane’s representative in this district, Lori Miller’s role is to serve as a liaison between the Congressman and his constituents — not to dodge simple, respectful questions. If she “can’t talk” about a town hall, then who can?

Town halls are a basic expectation in a functioning democracy. When a Congressman refuses to face his constituents — and his staff refuses to even discuss the possibility — that’s not representation. That’s stonewalling.

Voters deserve access, not silence. And we deserve representatives and staff who remember who they work for.

A Simple minded dinger writes a letter to the Payson Roundup

Paul Frommelt, a local Trump cultist wrote a letter to the paper explaining how we are great again. The constitution has been destroyed, every country in world has been alienated, Trump has kissed the ass of every dictator, and prices are rising. Paul has swallowed the marijuana gummies. Living under a con man raking in graft has made us "Great Again".  It is like bringing back slavery. Dolts are amazing and we got em right here in Payson.

 Nothing to write about, so how about some rambling. Sister want to get newer car, so haggling with the dealer is today's game. Not easy. Trading in a car and camper van. Cottonwood has done a nice job of fixing up the old part of town. Payson could learn a lot. Kadizzle likes the mountain aspect of Payson better than the raw desert Cottonwood. Had late lunch at Indian style place. Price seemed insane for not much food. Two people about sixty buckys with tip. 

Will miss the Donuts with Democrats this morning. We are making progress. Having Suzy Tubbs switch to our side is important in town council, puts the dolts in minority.

Trump's insanity is amusing. Now, he is grifting with Arab terrorist. Trump is so sleazy and such a blatant con man. The Hoopleheads live in a cave and just cannot see the sleazy Trump in reality.

Disfunctional

Town council had a meeting last night. Sad to see the Hooples lost in space. There are two, maybe three normal people on Town Council. Amazing they can put up with the three stooges. Steve Otto, Jim Ferris, and Charlie Bell are lost in space. They ran on the idea they could be mini Trumpers. Trump is an expert at destruction, but is clueless about moving society forward. So now you have the three stooges clueless about how to get anything done. Kadizzle tuned into the live broadcast of the meeting twice briefly last night. The frustration and confusion were obvious. Otto was the only one voting no on some airport issue. Otto explained he did not know why for sure he voted no. In another episode Charlie Bell declared " I need a break".  Charlies stood up and walked out of the room, then the Otto pilot declared an official break. You can just see the frustration on the faces of the normal people trying to make progress while the stooges put on a Trump show.

Most of the matter that fills their brain is fluff and lies from Fox News. If you engage one of these people in a conversation they will ask you where you get you news? When you respond with real and respectable sources, they will tell you that is the problem, then they will tell you about some obscure site that feeds them the lies they love.

A good thing happened a couple of normal people called into the propaganda and called them out for lying. On the other hand the usual dinks like Inga called in with palaver. The Hoopleheads were excited about Trump's wonderful day. Trump wakes up and makes some incredible lies. The Hoopleheads rejoice. What about the economy? Trump puts us in a huge hole, then brags about the hole he almost climbed out of, and of course blames the hole on Biden. 

The Hoopleheads get caught up in how big a number a trillion is, then they forget Trump is putting us trillions in debt to pay his buddies with tax breaks. 

As usual Kenny Murphy cut short anyone who interjected truth into the discussion. Jesus Trump is their hero and KKKMOG  is their church.

What has Trump stolen the MAGA dog ask? Where do you start? One of Trump's great thefts was when he stole 25 million with his fake college. The courts made him give the money back to the students he bilked. The number of people Trump has stiffed is endless. Trump has a reputation of not paying contractors. 

Trump's greatest thievery has occurred after he became president. At first he was against bit coin, then he made billions with that grift. Anyone who cannot see how his son is parlaying the presidency into money is an ill informed dolt. Trump is very much into the pay to play game. MAGA dog, do your homework if you really want to know all the dishonest crap Trump has done. You can go back to his casino that went bankrupt and the stockholders that got stiffed. 

MAGA dog, you just can't be as stupid as you seem.  Trump and his gang want women to have more children. The answer is simple, go back to the time the rich paid their share.  From 1954 to 1978 women could stay home and raise children.  Back then the rich were taxed. One simple lesson for MAGA dog. All Trump decisions involve making Trump richer, or tax breaks for the rich. MAGA dog if you cannot figure that out Kadizzle is wasting electrons trying to educate you. The audacity of Trump wasting 90 million on a military parade on his birthday really pisses Kadizzle off. All this bullshit about saving money means nothing in reality. What does it take for the dingers to realize our democracy is gone?  Trump is more insane every day.  Payson will have the biggest flag in Arizona. Wow, we also have the biggest hypocrites. The same people who worship the flag worship the con man president. These are the same people who take food from starving children then go to church to pray for them. These are the same people who want to cut government waste, but have a 90 million dollar military birthday parade for con man Trump. The cult has no concept of consistency. 

Banned from the casino

Kadizzle was surprised yesterday when he went into the Mazatzal Casino. The Republicans were holding a Lincoln day dinner with two of their top rats. Eli Crane, who will not show up for a town hall and Andy Biggs were on the agenda. The local right wing radio host Kenny Murphy was the master of ceremonies. Murphy spotted Kadizzle talking to a neighbor at the casino cafe.  Kadizzle could see Murphy tipping off the guards about his presence. Kadizzle engaged Murphy in a conversation about his unfair practices on his Forum radio show where he supports right wing propaganda. Soon a guard came over to Kadizzle and told him he had to leave because the Republicans requested Kadizzle be banned from the casino for the day. What did Kadizzle ever do wrong? No explanation. Kadizzle grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia. Wheeling was a miniature Las Vegas.  Older brother told Kadizzle about a book " Murder Never Dies".  The chronicles the underground and crime back in the hometown. Kadizzle went to school with the gangsters lawyers kids, Kadizzle had a good friend whose father came from the Purple Gang in Detroit. Wheeling made a lot of money from gambling, prostitution, and the racetrack on Wheeling Island which was owned by Bill Lias the richest gangster in the country. The level of bribery and thievery was astounding. The town council of Wheeling had a system of taxing crime that made money for the town. In Wheeling if you were doing something illegal you had to pay the city a fine every month. Book making was big, and so was betting on the horses. It was interesting how the numbers racket was rigged. Expensive loaded dice determined who would win. Often the mafia made sure one of their own people won. The mix of the upper class, and the lower class was amazing. Prohibition started a lot of big time criminals on the move. The law was very bendable and corrupt. The judges were in on the game. Everyone was being paid off. It is a lot of fun reading about the places in Wheeling that the mobsters controlled and how they corrupted the social hierarchy. Slot machines were a big deal. Kadizzle's childhood friend's dad ran the slot machines and made a lot of money. Tourist came to Wheeling in droves to gamble, visit the whore house, and watch the Jamboree. Crime was an important part of the economy.
